Overview
Zac Smith is President of BAO, bringing a career that spans corporate finance, Big Four advisory, and high-growth consulting. He began in Corporate Finance at Lockheed Martin before joining EY’s Advisory practice, where he focused on process improvement and M&A integration—streamlining finance operations, standardizing reporting, and guiding clients through the deal lifecycle. Zac later joined Riveron, where he combined business development with hands-on transformation work to drive operational efficiency, partnering with management teams to tighten processes, improve visibility, and accelerate decision-making.
Most recently, he helped Embark grow roughly 10x in top-line revenue over four years—leading market expansion and ultimately serving as Head of Growth. Zac holds an MBA from The George Washington University. Zac lives in Washington, DC with his husband and their dog, Harper, and brings a people-first, outcomes-driven approach to scaling BAO’s operations and deepening client impact.
